HCUK Credit Analyst (Wholesale) (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role in the United Kingdom, with a minimum of two office days per week. The head office is in Reigate, Surrey; occasional travel within the UK and dealership site visits may be required.

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year, dependent on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Analyse, monitor, control, and report on dealer wholesale funding operations and related credit risks.
• Review new business propositions and existing funding lines using dealership profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare lending recommendations, manage security arrangements, and liaise with external legal advisors and solicitors.
• Identify early risk indicators, recommend mitigation, and conduct site visits to credit-watch accounts when required.
• Develop credit policies, procedures, controls, reporting dashboards, and management information.
• Monitor outsourced activities against KPIs, SLAs, contractual obligations, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant wholesale credit analysis experience within financial services, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Understanding of credit risk controls, processes, measures, management information, and financial ratios.
• Knowledge of financial services policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, compliance, conduct risk, and customer data.
• Strong numerical, analytical, planning, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills, including engagement with senior and Board-level stakeholders.
• Confident use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in the United Kingdom with regular office attendance and occasional UK travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive finance products, services, markets, sales processes, and channels.
• Understanding of retail consumer credit environments.
