Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering (AWS)

What you will do

• Own and communicate the cloud platform vision, strategic roadmap, and backlog.
• Prioritize stakeholder, operational, project, and continuous-improvement demands against scope, timelines, resources, costs, and capacity.
• Lead the full product and platform lifecycle, including solution direction, delivery oversight, operational support, escalations, lifecycle refresh, and continuous improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud engineers while setting goals and conducting performance reviews.
• Oversee the design, deployment, maintenance, reliability, observability, and performance of scalable and resilient cloud platforms.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, DevOps, cloud governance, security, compliance, incident response, automation, and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of cloud engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of experience leading cloud platform engineering and Infrastructure as Code in AWS multi-account environments.
• Experience with Terraform, golden paths, and self-service platform capabilities.
• Experience managing experienced technical colleagues and owning or shaping a product, platform, or service roadmap.
• Experience with cloud networking, security, governance, compliance, VPC, IAM, AWS Organizations, centralized logging, encryption, and PCI-regulated environments.
• Ability to solve complex problems, improve platforms and processes, and influence stakeholders beyond the immediate job area.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, Kubernetes, EKS, serverless services, operational observability, and developer enablement.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A relevant cloud certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer.
