TL;DR
Senior DevOps Engineer (Java) (AWS/Kubernetes): Implementing and supporting DevOps improvements that enhance software quality, delivery speed, and system reliability in multidisciplinary teams with an accent on containerisation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD automation. Focus on building and maintaining AWS pipelines, managing Kubernetes and Helm environments, applying GitOps and schema change management, and translating stakeholder requirements into efficient technical implementations.
Location: Leeds, United Kingdom; hybrid working model. Must have the right to work in the UK and be able to attain UK Security Clearance. Willingness to travel is required.

What you will do
- Implement and support DevOps improvements that increase efficiency, software quality, and delivery speed.
- Work across development and operations with a focus on people, processes, tools, and customer outcomes.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments.
- Translate business requirements into technical implementations and facilitate business knowledge as a DevOps subject matter expert.
- Manage stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and help ensure effective service delivery.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, IT Operations, InfoSec, and UCD teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Professional experience with Java, multiple ecosystem databases, architecture, and integration.
- Experience with monitoring tools, schema change management such as Liquibase, and GitOps principles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to attain UK Security Clearance; willingness to travel.
