Test Automation Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for desktop, web, and enterprise software.
• Develop reliable automated tests and integrate them into modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with Software Engineers, Product Owners, Quality Engineers, DevOps teams, and external suppliers on quality strategies and deliverables.
• Embed automation early in the software development lifecycle and improve test coverage, release confidence, and engineering productivity.
• Analyze defects, automation failures, and test infrastructure issues.
• Evaluate AI-powered testing technologies for test generation, maintenance, execution, and defect analysis.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of experience in software test automation, software quality engineering, or software development.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality engineering principles, and test automation frameworks.
• Experience with modern cloud-based and distributed applications, plus hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile development teams and using AI-assisted development or testing tools.
• Excellent English communication skills; German proficiency is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of laboratory workflows, scientific software, analytical instrumentation, or instrument control software.
