QA Automation Engineer (API)

Location: Remote from Bucharest, Romania

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs and backend services.
• Create functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests for loan origination and processing workflows.
• Validate REST APIs, event-driven integrations, microservices, payloads, logs, and system interactions.
• Define test strategies, coverage, automation standards, and coding guidelines for new features.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, improve execution reliability, and support deployment validation.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, business analysts, and operations teams in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA automation experience and 3+ years of API test automation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, OAuth2, JWT, Basic Auth, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Experience with RestAssured, Postman or Insomnia, and API automation tools.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks using TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or xUnit.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git, enterprise applications, multiple integrations, and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with microservices, test management, and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Xray, or Zephyr.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
