Professional Services Engineer (High-Performance Storage)

Location: Remote - Australia; on-site customer visits and travel required when needed, with remote implementation support across regional and international time zones.

What you will do

• Plan and execute customer installations, upgrades, expansions, migrations, and system health checks.
• Install, configure, and validate hirify.global storage systems, EXAScaler file systems, hirify.global Insight, and related software.
• Configure file systems, client connectivity, authentication, networking, monitoring, and high-availability features.
• Benchmark and optimize performance, assess capacity and infrastructure, and troubleshoot hardware, operating-system, networking, and file-system issues.
• Coordinate escalations with Support and Engineering, manage implementation risks, and lead acceptance testing, handover, and customer sign-off.
• Deliver demonstrations, technical workshops, knowledge-transfer sessions, and installation documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, storage, systems administration, data-centre operations, or a related field.
• Hands-on Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience implementing enterprise storage, HPC, AI, or high-performance computing environments.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, Ethernet, InfiniBand, or other high-speed interconnects, plus file systems such as Lustre, NFS, or GPFS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, independent working ability, and willingness to travel to customer sites.
