Director, Global Accounting AI Transformation

What you will do

• Define and own the AI transformation roadmap across group accounting, record-to-report, tax, and revenue recognition.
• Redesign close, consolidation, reconciliation, tax, and revenue recognition workflows for AI-first operations.
• Lead AI initiatives from ideation and design through deployment, adoption, and value realization.
• Embed AI agents, automation, validation, exception handling, and risk monitoring into accounting processes.
• Ensure solutions align with accounting controls, audit requirements, compliance standards, and responsible AI principles.
• Build AI fluency, workflow standards, ownership, and adoption across Global Accounting teams.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification.
• Experience leading Global Accounting, Controllership, or Shared Services functions in a publicly listed, multi-entity international organization.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, SOX/internal controls, external audit, global tax, and transfer pricing.
• Experience managing complex month-end and quarter-end close processes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience deploying AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, intelligent automation, Copilot, LLMs, AI agents, RPA, or workflow orchestration in Finance.
• Proven leadership of enterprise-wide Finance transformation programs, target operating models, adoption initiatives, and executive stakeholder engagement.

Nice to have

• Experience building business cases and value realization frameworks for AI investments.
• Strong understanding of Finance data architecture and master data management.
