Senior Support Worker

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. Workplace type: Onsite. Flexible coverage is required for morning, afternoon/evening, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.

Salary: £13.91–£15.13 per hour, plus £75 per sleep-in shift. Full-time employees work five shifts over seven days; overtime and on-call opportunities are available.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day leadership alongside the Locality Manager.
• Support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Coach and guide colleagues through supervisions, observations, and one-to-one support.
• Build a positive working culture for colleagues and the people receiving support.
• Work closely with families and outside agencies.
• Cover flexible shifts within a small team dedicated to one person.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Commitment to empowering people and delivering person-centred support.
• Ability to take responsibility and remain calm in difficult situations.
• Willingness to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
• Full UK driving licence required.
