Active Forest Coordinator

Location: Mainly based at Hicks Lodge, Leicestershire, with travel across Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire as required; regular weekend site cover is included.

Salary: £30,105 per annum

What you will do

• Deliver the Feel Good in the Forest programme at Hicks Lodge and other National Forest woodlands.
• Curate physical activity, health and wellbeing experiences for new and returning visitors.
• Enable socially prescribed yoga, mindful walks, physical activity sessions and inclusive events.
• Work with local communities, partners, volunteers and instructors.
• Provide site support and weekend cover as part of the Hicks Lodge Forest Centre team.

Requirements

• Ability to work mainly at Hicks Lodge and travel across Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
• Experience relevant to the role and a clear career history.
• Ability to engage communities and work collaboratively with partners, volunteers and instructors.
• Ability to support activities for people with mild-to-moderate health conditions.
• Accurate spoken English is required.
• Successful candidates must complete a criminal record check and baseline personnel security standard check.
