Software Engineer III

Location: Onsite in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Participate in project discovery, high-level design, requirements analysis, and solution scoping with product, project management, business, and user experience teams.
• Develop and configure application components using object-oriented programming, backend and frontend technologies, and microservices architecture.
• Design database schemas, write data definition and modification queries, and integrate internal, external, and third-party APIs.
• Build automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines while supporting application onboarding, security compliance, and DevOps processes.
• Create and execute unit, integration, scale, regression, and component-level tests; track defects and resolve bugs.
• Monitor application performance, availability, logs, metrics, and telemetry; troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable fixes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field; or a bachelor’s degree in one of these fields plus 2 years of software engineering or related experience.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java and backend development using Node.js, Express, or J2EE.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, React, relational database design, MySQL, SQL Server, BigQuery, and Redis.
• Experience with GitHub, Kubernetes, Docker, Jira, OTRS, CI/CD pipelines, software testing, and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of software design patterns, microservices architecture, Apache Kafka, and Zookeeper.
• Experience with debugging, root cause analysis, application monitoring, alerting, observability, and tools such as Splunk, Nagios, Grafana, Jest, and Cucumber.
