Software Engineer (Full-Stack) III (AI)

Location: United States - Bedford, MA; hybrid work with remote focus time, in-person collaboration, interviews, and onsite orientation.

Salary: $132,000–$228,000 base annual salary.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain complex full-stack features for the core Application Platform and configuration tooling.
• Build and operate secure, reliable, scalable backend services and frontend applications.
• Develop APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and automation solutions including workflow, business rules, document processing, and application lifecycle management tools.
• Use agentic coding tools and automation practices to accelerate development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform quality, availability, security, and operational excellence.
• Support and mentor junior engineers while learning P&C insurance concepts, cloud-native patterns, and AI capabilities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building web applications or services across the stack.
• Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Kotlin, with the ability to learn additional languages.
• Experience with at least one modern backend language and one frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with agentic coding environments, automation tools, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and relational and non-relational databases.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.
• Cloud platform and container deployment experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes is strongly preferred.
