Customer Engineer IV (Semiconductor)

Location: Beijing, China; on-site customer and clean-room work with travel up to 20% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues using digital analytics, diagnostic tools, documentation, and task plans.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Communicate with customers and internal business units and lead customer or internal projects when needed.
• Train and mentor junior Field Service Engineers and Customer Engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7–10 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and/or thermodynamics.
• Advanced knowledge of wafer processing parameters and strong knowledge of hand tools, including digital multimeters.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a passport if travel is required, and ability to meet all on-site safety, environmental, and COVID-19 requirements.
