Supplier Quality Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Act as the primary quality contact between operations, suppliers, and customers for purchased products.
• Define and execute supplier audits, surveys, qualification, and disqualification activities.
• Monitor supplier quality metrics, provide feedback, and support corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Support incoming inspection, problem-part resolution, alternative supplier selection, and supplier-managed factory activities.
• Initiate and follow up on supplier failure-analysis requests.
• Provide engineering support for quality assurance and customer-facing supplier quality activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in the semiconductor or relevant industry.
• Experience with system-based problem solving, supplier quality management, and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with component and PCB manufacturing flows.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin are required.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of semiconductor device reliability mechanisms, silicon reliability modeling, and lifetime prediction.
• Experience with Weibull or Lognormal analysis, lifetime plotting, and statistical interpretation of reliability data.
• Familiarity with Arrhenius, Eyring, Power-Law, and Coffin-Manson reliability models.
• Experience assessing supplier qualification reports, accelerated life tests, reliability projections, JEDEC requirements, and semiconductor failure analysis.
