Technical Product Development Engineer (Networking)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; hybrid

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end delivery of networking products to production, including requirements, hardware, firmware, documentation, regulatory testing, and Agile release activities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, communicate product status, and coordinate stakeholders with minimal supervision.
• Manage ODMs, chip vendors, software suppliers, and component vendors throughout the product development process.
• Oversee product verification, compatibility testing, performance testing, and issue resolution with QA and support teams.
• Manage customer qualification and regulatory certification, and coordinate technical resolutions with PLMs, support engineers, suppliers, and standards bodies.
• Provide technical documentation, resolve third-level escalations, support sales engineers, and track technology and supplier roadmaps.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and at least 7 years of experience in networking product development or management.
• In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 IP networking, and wireless 802.11.
• Engineering background with substantial hands-on hardware design and product review experience.
• Strong understanding of technology product development cycles, SQA processes, test-driven development, and issue resolution.
• Experience with switch hardware and software, debugging hardware/software issues, and leading multidisciplinary development teams.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin are required.
