Applications Engineer (Silicon Photonics)

What you will do

• Serve as the local technical point of contact for silicon photonics testing requirements, technical trends, and market information.
• Align technical communication and strategy with the US headquarters.
• Act as a technical bridge between customers and sales teams to identify opportunities and win new business.
• Present silicon photonics testing solutions to prospective customers and support demonstrations.
• Manage day-to-day customer equipment application and service activities.
• Deliver testing solutions, resolve customer issues, prepare escalation summaries, and coordinate with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, science, physics, optical engineering, silicon photonics, or a similar background.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with probe system tools preferred.
• Basic knowledge of laser fiber operation and principles.
• Capability to set up design of experiments for problem solving.
• Experience with an equipment vendor or R&D/high-volume manufacturing fab preferred.
• Fluent English verbal, email, and report communication required. Project management experience and the ability to work with management, sales, and global teams are also required.
