Image Quality Verification Engineer (System Integration)

What you will do

• Perform subjective image quality verification for hirify.global webcams under controlled, repeatable viewing conditions.
• Design and execute subjective and objective image quality tests and document the results.
• Use image analysis tools to measure image quality attributes and correlate data with visual observations.
• Investigate image quality issues, identify possible root causes, and benchmark competitor products against hirify.global devices.
• Maintain per-version comparison data, test results, and reference images to track image quality over time.
• Support IQ validation, end-to-end webcam testing, and certification testing for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Windows Hello.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Imaging Science, Photography, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, ideally with digital imaging coursework.
• Understanding of digital imaging fundamentals and image sensor principles, including pixel structure, color filter arrays, exposure, gain, and readout.
• Understanding of auto exposure, auto white balance, auto focus, and their effects on image quality.
• Knowledge of imaging feature dependencies and trade-offs with 3A systems, plus basic color science and common color spaces and gamuts.
• Hands-on familiarity with at least one image analysis tool, such as Imatest.
• Strong analytical, observation, problem-solving, data interpretation, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Coursework in signal processing.
• Experience tracing observed data to root causes.
• Familiarity with Python or MATLAB scripting.
• Experience with camera module characterization.
• Knowledge of image quality standards.
