Quality Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Location: Taichung, Taiwan; the role is primarily based on the shop floor.

What you will do

• Manage major CAPAs for critical cases, including problem definition, containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive actions, and lessons learned.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and provide technical support to production, quality teams, and management.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives, cost-out programs, quality standards, and strategic operational projects.
• Manage quality deliverables for new product introduction, including risk management, PFMEAs, control plans, MSA, and SPC.
• Coordinate non-conformity processes, supplier claims, customer quality topics, audits, and quality reporting.
• Escalate non-compliance and stop production, deliveries, or services when necessary.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in quality management and a manufacturing production environment.
• Experience with quality methods such as NCR/NCC/QI, APQP, CAPA, quality improvement, and auditing programs.
• Engineering degree or experience in data analysis, calculations, technical investigations, drawings, and specifications.
• High English communication skills are required for communication across all organizational levels.
• Working knowledge of industrial statistics and mechanical or logical understanding.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with APQP4Wind or similar frameworks.
• Six Sigma qualification.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
• Project management experience.
• Experience in heavy industry, energy, automotive, or similar sectors.
