Head of Financial Operations

Location: Nuneaton, United Kingdom; hybrid with a minimum of 2 days per week at the hirify.global office

What you will do

• Lead Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales & Banking and Payroll end to end.
• Lead a 26-person team through two direct reports, setting priorities, ownership and accountability.
• Bring the four financial operations areas together through consistent processes and shared priorities.
• Protect cash and working capital through effective payments, collections, reconciliations and controls.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate AR and AP processes, reducing manual work, rework and exceptions.
• Own the Financial Operations roadmap and work with finance leadership and senior stakeholders to use data, technology and AI to improve productivity, control and service.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in Financial Operations, Shared Services or another high-volume transactional finance environment.
• Broad experience across Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Sales & Banking and Payroll.
• Experience leading through managers and creating consistency across multiple teams.
• Evidence of improving controls, simplifying processes, raising service levels, introducing technology or removing unnecessary work.
• Experience in retail, consumer, e-commerce or another complex multi-site business is useful but not essential.
