Group Head of Finance

What you will do

• Lead a 25+ person, multi-location finance function covering Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Payroll.
• Evolve the finance operating model, including organisational structure, process ownership, controls, governance, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Redesign, standardise, simplify, and automate core finance processes while reducing operational risk and manual intervention.
• Improve finance systems, data flows, automation, process efficiency, controls, and data quality.
• Lead post-acquisition finance integration across reporting, controls, systems, data, and ways of working.
• Develop finance leaders, manage stakeholders, prioritise BAU and transformation work, and address complex operational issues when required.

Requirements

• ACA, ICAS, or ACCA qualification with significant post-qualified experience in senior finance leadership.
• Experience leading a sizeable, multi-functional Finance Operations or Financial Control organisation across multiple locations or jurisdictions.
• Deep operational knowledge of several finance disciplines, including reporting, payables, receivables, treasury, and payroll.
• Proven track record in end-to-end finance process transformation, controls, workflow standardisation, automation, and systems improvement.
• Experience leading managers through organisational change, with strong performance management, prioritisation, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on leadership style, strong finance systems capability, and the ability to translate operational requirements into effective systems design.

Nice to have

• ERP implementation or significant transformation experience, including Workday.
• Experience in a technology scale-up, gaming business, or fast-moving international environment.
• Experience with acquisition integration or a larger parent/group finance structure.

Hiring process

• Initial 45-minute interview with a Talent Partner via Zoom.
• 60-minute interview with the Finance Director and Senior People Partner via Zoom.
• Take-home task and 60-minute presentation with senior finance and executive stakeholders, held via Zoom or at the London office.
