Senior Software Engineer (React Native/Java)

Salary: $127,462–$216,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead ModFlex projects within Me@Walmart, providing technical direction, documentation, and solution guidance.
• Design and develop workflows for modular setting, aisle location scanning, label printing, and promotional feature management across more than 4,700 U.S. stores.
• Review requirements and proposed solutions, conduct design and code reviews, and translate requirements into Jira epics, stories, and tasks.
• Troubleshoot associate-impacting issues, perform root cause analysis, coordinate support teams, and execute corrective action plans.
• Lead discovery and delivery for projects including Modular Condense, Guided Mods, Digital Shelf Label integration, and international expansion.
• Collaborate with Store Operations, Product Management, UX, Platform, Data Science, and other cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree plus at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience building user interfaces with React Native and TypeScript, integrating APIs, and using OpenAPI-generated clients with ESLint and Prettier.
• Experience designing Java 17 REST APIs with Spring Boot/MVC, Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT, and API Gateway capabilities.
• Experience with Azure cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Container Registry, Vault, and Ansible.
• Experience with Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Liquibase, NoSQL data modeling, Apache Kafka, and Google BigQuery.
• Experience writing automated unit, integration, and performance tests and using Git/GitHub pull request workflows with CI checks.
