Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Onsite at 221 River Street, Hoboken, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $137,717–$216,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement large-scale distributed systems for high-volume data processing.
• Improve scalability, latency, efficiency, performance, and fault tolerance across systems.
• Translate ambiguous business problems and product vision into executable technical designs and roadmaps.
• Own multiple systems and identify opportunities for business impact with engineers, product managers, and engineering leaders.
• Provide technical oversight and direction to engineers working across multiple efforts.
• Participate in technical reviews, agile ceremonies, and code reviews to maintain design and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area, plus 3 years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree or equivalent plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and implementing REST API web services and scalable, fault-tolerant, high-performance service-oriented architectures.
• Strong Java and J2EE programming experience with an in-depth understanding of the Java Virtual Machine and experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with unit and integration testing, Eclipse or IntelliJ, Maven, and Git.
• Experience with Jenkins-based continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Experience with NoSQL and relational database technologies.
