Associate Configuration Management Specialist - Frederick, MD

Location: Onsite at the Frederick, Maryland office; candidates must reside in the United States

Total compensation: $70K–$90K, including base salary and variable pay when applicable.

What you will do

• Support configuration management plans, procedures, records, and system baselines for FAA voice communications systems.
• Coordinate Engineering Change Requests, Change Notices, Configuration Control Board actions, and related documentation.
• Maintain configuration databases, document repositories, technical data packages, software release packages, and subcontractor deliverables.
• Track configuration status, metrics, action items, equipment inventories, and technology refresh or obsolescence activities.
• Support Functional Configuration Audits, Physical Configuration Audits, customer reviews, and documentation verification.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, cybersecurity, and program management teams on configuration issues and data requests.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, business, aviation, computer science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in configuration management, data management, technical documentation, quality assurance, engineering support, or a related discipline.
• Experience with document management systems, issue tracking tools, configuration management databases, change control, or Configuration Control Board processes.
• Knowledge of configuration management concepts, inventory management, technical documentation, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be a US citizen residing in the United States and eligible to receive a US Government security clearance or public trust.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting FAA, DoD, DHS/TSA, or other government programs.
• Familiarity with voice communications systems, telecommunications, networking, or critical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, CMMI, or EIA-649 standards.
