Subcontract Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Waterloo, London, UK; hybrid work environment

Salary: £44,700–£63,000 GBP base salary per year, plus bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Manage relationships with manufacturing subcontractors and maintain action logs for commercial and technical requests.
• Coordinate subcontractor build processes, including MRP transactions and the creation and issuing of statements of work.
• Evaluate supply-chain quotations and manage secondary-supplier support for pricing, lead time, and quality.
• Manage and document subcontractor quality and security audits.
• Create and manage key performance indicators and monitor subcontractor excess stock levels.
• Work with production engineers and hardware teams to ensure subcontractors can support current and future projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing vendors, suppliers, or subcontractors in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using MRP or ERP systems to support manufacturing logistics.
• Strong organization, communication, numerical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multi-threaded plans and capture, track, and report activity progress.
• Ability to investigate complex issues and collaborate across the business to meet product quality and delivery requirements.
