Principal Field Applications Engineer (PCIe)

What you will do

• Advise cloud service providers, server OEMs, and networking customers on connectivity architectures and product solutions.
• Identify customer requirements and provide hands-on design-in support for complex SoC and silicon products.
• Support system bring-up, validation, and debugging in customer environments and laboratories.
• Gather customer feedback, define new product requirements, and collaborate with engineering teams.
• Travel frequently to customer sites and maintain clear technical notes, actions, and project organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; a master’s degree in engineering is preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience designing in complex SoC or silicon products for cloud service providers and server OEM customers in server, storage, or networking applications.
• Fluent Mandarin and English.
• Thorough knowledge of high-speed protocols, including PCIe, Ethernet, InfiniBand, DDR, NVMe, and USB.
• Experience with silicon or system bring-up, customer-system debugging, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, high-speed board design, and data center systems.
• Intermediate Python proficiency for system validation and link optimization, plus the ability to debug embedded firmware at the SerDes or MCU level.

Nice to have

• Experience with 12G NRZ signaling, 25G NRZ or 56G PAM4, PCIe ICs, and physical-layer interface standards.
• Experience with firmware, drivers, BIOS, embedded software debugging, and PCIe-based development.
• Knowledge of gcc, Make, GitHub, schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools such as Cadence, Altium, Keysight ADS, and MathWorks QCD.
