Senior Electronics Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of electronic boards, from requirements, schematics, and PCB development through bring-up, validation, production release, and sustaining engineering.
• Design STM32-based control, sensing, communications, power-distribution, and peripheral-interface boards for autonomous vehicle systems.
• Develop interfaces for braking, throttle, steering, transmission, sensors, solenoids, valves, relays, contactors, motors, actuators, and vehicle ECUs.
• Validate power sequencing, load response, protection functions, communication robustness, thermal performance, EMC, ESD, surge, and other environmental conditions.
• Lead board-level debugging and root-cause investigations using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, CAN tools, thermal imaging, electronic loads, and programmable supplies.
• Support suppliers and manufacturing with DFM, DFT, production testing, substitutions, engineering changes, and component obsolescence management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Typically 5+ years of relevant electronic hardware development experience.
• Strong analog and digital electronics fundamentals, including MOSFETs, op-amps, protection circuits, and communication interfaces.
• Experience taking hardware from requirements and schematic design through PCB development, bring-up, verification, and production.
• Experience with schematic design and PCB design reviews using KiCad, Altium Designer, or equivalent tools.
• Strong hands-on hardware debugging, root-cause analysis, and evidence-based technical decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive, commercial vehicle, autonomous vehicle, robotics, industrial machinery, or other high-reliability embedded electronics.
• Experience with vehicle-control electronics, 12 V/24 V systems, CAN/J1939, EMC/ESD/surge validation, and electromechanical load drivers.
• Familiarity with functional safety standards including ISO 26262, IEC 61508, IEC 62061, or ISO 13849.
• Experience with DFMEA, hardware FMEA, component derating, reliability analysis, DFM/DFT, production testing, sustaining engineering, or Python test automation.
