Engineer Staff, HW Development (Optical Transceiver)

What you will do

• Design or revise optical transceiver PCBAs from concept through completion.
• Drive product specification review, architecture design, component selection, schematic creation, BOM preparation, board layout, bring-up, verification, and EMC pre-compliance testing.
• Coordinate optical subassembly, mechanical, and PCB layout engineering to optimize transceiver designs.
• Lead hardware, firmware, and optics integration, including debugging and troubleshooting.
• Resolve DFM issues based on engineering and factory feedback and support production-line activities, including occasional business travel.
• Collaborate with program management, procurement, planning, and suppliers to ensure component availability for builds.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as an electrical or hardware engineer in the optical transceiver industry.
• Strong analog circuit design skills and practical power-supply measurement experience.
• Experience with high-density multilayer board design cycles, PCB fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• RF design experience using modeling tools such as ADS or HFSS.
• Understanding of microprocessors and real-time control firmware.
