Area Health Information Specialist I (Onsite) Holmdel, NJ

Location: Onsite in Holmdel, New Jersey, with travel between multiple facilities and ambulatory practices throughout New Jersey required. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST.

Salary: $15.92–$19.44 per hour.

What you will do

• Process Release of Information requests accurately and efficiently.
• Retrieve and compile medical records from electronic medical record systems.
• Protect patient information and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Generate reports and complete administrative tasks related to ROI processing.
• Maintain organized request documentation and tracking records.
• Communicate with healthcare staff, patients, and requestors while providing coverage support at onsite locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of health information-related experience.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
• Computer proficiency, accurate data entry, strong communication, and multitasking skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in Holmdel, commute between locations as needed, and work overtime during peak seasons when required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
