Area Health Information Specialist I (Onsite) NJ Market

Location: Onsite in the New Jersey market, including Woodbury, Englewood, and Somerville; travel between facilities may be required. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST.

Salary: $15.92–$19.44 per hour.

What you will do

• Process Release of Information requests accurately and efficiently.
• Retrieve and compile medical records from electronic medical record systems.
• Provide call support, fax records, burn images to CDs, and handle storage ordering and review.
• Maintain organized documentation, request tracking, productivity, and quality standards.
• Communicate with healthcare staff, patients, and requestors while providing coverage support for onsite staff.
• Protect confidential patient information and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of protected health information.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in the New Jersey market and be able to commute between locations as needed.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience or proficiency with electronic medical record systems, computers, and accurate data entry.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
