Registered Nurse-Operating Room Casual Rotating

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States; onsite, part-time, casual rotating shift

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update care plans, document outcomes, and coordinate discharge planning.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated nursing care.
• Provide patient and family education, including medication guidance, discharge instructions, and patient portal support.
• Administer medications safely, monitor patient conditions, conduct bedside handoffs, and maintain a safe care environment.
• Support quality improvement, evidence-based practice, infection prevention, safety metrics, and unit initiatives.
• Coordinate patient care when assigned, direct support staff, precept colleagues, and serve as a clinical resource.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or an Associate Degree in Nursing with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to follow the Illinois Nurse Practice Act, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory standards.
