Registered Nurse-Medical Inpatient Part Time Days (BSN)

Salary: $34.50–$55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive assessments and document patient conditions, nursing diagnoses, care goals, interventions, and outcomes.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams, including discharge planning and referrals.
• Provide patient and family education on medications, treatment plans, patient portal use, and relevant resources.
• Administer medications safely using barcode technology and monitor patients using physiologic monitoring and Alaris pump guardrails.
• Promote quality and safety initiatives focused on preventing falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTI, and central line infections.
• Support patient care technicians, precept new staff and students, and coordinate unit-level care when assigned.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an ADN is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and applicable clinical, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
