Registered Nurse-Venous Access Casual Days

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States; onsite, casual day shift

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and document outcomes.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, including discharge planning and referrals.
• Provide patient and family education on medications, treatment plans, clinical conditions, and available resources.
• Administer medications safely, monitor patient conditions, complete handoffs, and support a safe care environment.
• Lead or support patient care technicians, precept staff and students, and coordinate unit care when assigned.
• Use clinical technology and electronic medical records while contributing to quality, safety, and process-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• An Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Employment includes a background check in accordance with applicable Illinois and federal requirements.
