Application Analyst Principal (Healthcare Applications)

Location: Fully remote with quarterly on-site presence required; West Valley City, Utah. Candidates residing or planning to reside in California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, or Washington are not considered. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Hourly rate: $54.66–$86.05, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Provide strategic technical support, configuration, integration, maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle management for complex healthcare applications.
• Analyze stakeholder needs and translate requirements into functional designs, technical specifications, workflows, and development plans.
• Configure, test, implement, monitor, and maintain applications, workflows, hardware integrations, and system interfaces.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects, manage project portfolios and resources, and support governance, budgeting, quality review, and benefit tracking.
• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot third-party applications, resolve complex incidents, and establish technical standards.
• Mentor analysts, develop training and knowledge materials, and participate in on-call, command center, workgroup, and leadership activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, healthcare, business, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute with approval.
• Eight years of experience in a healthcare setting and application experience.
• In-depth business and application knowledge, system analysis skills, and experience with operating systems used in hospital environments.
• Ability to lead projects, manage resources, analyze problems, document solutions, and communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel pivot tables, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Epic certification is required or must be obtained and maintained for one or more Epic applications.

Nice to have

• Existing certification in Epic applications or an Epic platform.
• Experience with healthcare applications such as electronic health records, registration, scheduling, billing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, population health, or enterprise systems.
