Epic Application Analyst (HIM Hospital Coding)

Location: Fully remote within the listed US states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois (Wisconsin/Illinois Division only), Louisiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming. No relocation. Work-related travel may be required.

Salary: $38.20–$57.30 per hour.

What you will do

• Analyze, map, measure, and improve clinical and business processes for assigned Epic applications.
• Translate user requirements into functional and technical specifications, configure applications, and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and end-user acceptance testing, including test plans, scripts, and issue tracking.
• Maintain workflows, requirements, specifications, user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and change-control documentation.
• Train users and support staff, explain application functionality, and assist with troubleshooting.
• Manage user requests, priorities, application upgrades, project communications, and downtime notifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge in Computer Science or a related field.
• Typically three years of experience in an IT or clinical environment involving business process mapping, requirements analysis, acceptance testing, and documentation.
• Experience with Epic and other healthcare applications; experience supporting Epic Hospital Coding and CDI is preferred.
• Ability to obtain required Epic certification within six months and maintain annual educational requirements.
• Knowledge of applications, operating systems, databases, hardware, connectivity, interfaces, project management, and change management.
• No visa sponsorship or visa transfer is available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Epic Hospital Coding certifications.
• Experience with 3M Solventum 360 applications.
