Field Supervisor – Arrowhead (Electric Utility)

Location: Rimforest, California, US. Work mode: on-site at an SCE facility or in the field, with travel across SCE’s service territory about 80% of the time.

Salary: $163,000–$244,400 per year.

What you will do

• Supervise line crews, troublemen, and streetlight repairmen in daily construction, maintenance, and field operations.
• Monitor job-site progress, conduct field observations, correct unsafe conditions, and verify compliance with applicable standards.
• Resolve operational issues, adjust crew schedules and priorities, and allocate resources to support productivity and cost efficiency.
• Review crew timesheets, work orders, and operational records for accuracy.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, training, coaching, and feedback to employees.
• Coordinate with customers, city officials, external agencies, internal departments, and union personnel to meet project timelines.

Requirements

• At least two years of combined experience performing or supervising electric utility planning, design, construction, maintenance, system operations, field operations, engineering, or construction project management.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Ability to work on-site and travel approximately 80% of the time throughout SCE’s service territory.
• Ability to respond to incidents and communicate beyond normal work hours and standard workday schedules.
• Ability to lead crews, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively, and maintain strong safety and integrity standards.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in electric distribution design, construction, maintenance, scheduling, or supervision.
• Experience as a Troubleman or E-Crew Foreman, with workit electronic work order systems, or with collective bargaining agreements.
• Experience leading union or cross-functional teams and applying IBEW requirements.
• Experience with medium to large overhead and underground distribution projects, regulatory and environmental requirements, hazardous waste management, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of GO 95, GO 128, GO168, and Accident Prevention Manual rules.
