Senior Electrical Engineer (ATS)

Location: Onsite in Danville or San Ramon, California; candidates must live within PG&E's service territory

Salary: $122,000–$194,000 annual base salary in the Bay Area, with a mid-point of $158,000

What you will do

• Perform electrical engineering analyses, including arc-flash studies, failure investigations, and power system evaluations.
• Lead field and laboratory testing, including grounding safety studies, underground cable testing, EMF program support, and equipment failure analysis.
• Support technical evaluations of personal protective equipment and flame-resistant clothing for electrical safety.
• Use or develop proficiency with LabVIEW and related tools for test data acquisition and analysis.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and recommendations while supporting safety investigations and technology improvements.
• Plan and lead projects, manage scope, schedules, and budgets, and collaborate with internal and external clients and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, with emphasis in a discipline related to the assignment.
• At least 5 years of job-related experience.
• Must live within PG&E's service territory.
• Ability to apply independent judgment to complex technical issues with significant safety impact.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
