Supervisor-Electric Field Operations (Electric Distribution)

Location: Hartford, CT, United States. On-site field operations are required, including emergency response assignments that may occur outside normal work hours and location.

Annual salary: $122,920–$136,580, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Lead the safe, timely, and efficient construction, operation, maintenance, and emergency restoration of the electric distribution system.
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and supervise Line Department activities, including capital and maintenance work.
• Coordinate joint work with utilities, internal departments, and outside contractors, including vehicles, materials, and personnel.
• Review and approve switching instructions, conduct switching when necessary, and maintain switching and tagging qualifications.
• Manage on-call, troubleshooter, vacation, and storm-duty schedules while resolving conflicts and reallocating resources.
• Develop employees, conduct performance reviews, manage employee issues and grievances, and support a safety-first, customer-focused workforce.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a comparable field.
• Four to six years of directly related engineering or business experience.
• Working knowledge of safe construction, operation, and maintenance of electric distribution facilities at secondary and primary operating voltages.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, computer, and information-technology skills.
• Ability to maintain switching and tagging qualifications under TD 800 and approve switching instructions.
