Senior Group Financial Accountant

Location: Melbourne, Australia. Full-time Australian working rights are required.

What you will do

• Own month-end reporting for selected international subsidiaries and review reporting packages for IFRS compliance.
• Prepare consolidation workpapers, journals, financial statements, and accompanying notes for half-year and annual reporting.
• Support cash flow, debtors, climate-related ASRS, impairment, and Board reporting activities.
• Assist with external audits, technical accounting matters, business combinations, capital transactions, and system migration projects.
• Investigate reporting issues, develop practical recommendations, and partner with finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives across the global finance function.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with group consolidations, foreign currency translation, and impairment.
• High-level Excel proficiency; experience with NetSuite or a similar accounting system is advantageous.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Full-time Australian working rights and successful completion of a National Police Record check are required.
