Senior Accountant, Americas (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite role

What you will do

• Own end-to-end financial controllership activities for Americas entities.
• Prepare and review monthly financial close activities in collaboration with the finance shared service center.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, local regulatory requirements, internal accounting policies, and reporting obligations.
• Manage statutory audits, regulatory filings, external auditor relationships, and third-party coordination.
• Support quarterly close, consolidation reviews, global group reporting, and cross-functional finance projects.
• Provide accounting advisory for new products and commercial structures, including technical accounting memos covering revenue recognition, equity compensation, M&A transactions, and financial instruments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of finance or accounting experience, including financial controlling responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, internal controls, compliance requirements, and reporting frameworks for U.S. financial entities.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or another regulated industry.
• Experience improving processes, scaling financial operations, and supporting complex local or international projects.
• Strong communication, independent judgment, and ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment.

Nice to have

• Big Four experience.
• CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with Oracle ERP, Pigment FP&A, Looker dashboards, or similar modern finance tools.
