Financial Accountant

Location: Hybrid role based in Brisbane or Sydney (Erskine Park), Australia

What you will do

• Prepare month-end journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Deliver variance analysis and supplementary management reporting, including information required for US reporting.
• Manage day-to-day financial matters for the software business and support its stakeholders.
• Own fixed asset and operating lease processes and associated profit and loss accounts.
• Load financial information into the US reporting system and assist with statutory financial statements and external audits.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and business improvement projects.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Commerce, with CA/CPA qualification or progress toward it.
• At least three years of experience in a large commercial environment and accounting team.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and prioritisation skills.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
