Stormwater Design Engineer

Location: Seattle, Washington; hybrid work between an office and field environment

What you will do

• Plan, design, permit, and manage stormwater infrastructure projects in accordance with Washington State regulations and local agency requirements.
• Coordinate detailed enclosed storm drainage analysis and design for urban and rural transportation projects.
• Perform drainage and hydraulic analyses for transportation agencies, cross-drainage structures, roadways, and bridges.
• Design stormwater management systems, storm drain systems, open-channel conveyance, culverts, bridge hydraulics, and floodplain compensation measures.
• Collaborate with public agencies, developers, project managers, environmental specialists, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Provide technical support for watershed management, permitting, construction, erosion and sediment control, and water quality treatment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least four years of transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Ability to work in a hybrid office and field environment in Seattle, Washington.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds when required.
