Senior Designer (Telecommunications)

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States; in-office work required weekly

What you will do

• Produce accurate structural, civil, and fiber engineering drawings in AutoCAD for telecommunications site builds, modifications, and fiber optic networks.
• Develop feasible designs with engineers, including conduit layouts, underground utility profiles, traffic control plans, and fiber infrastructure.
• Review blueprints, structural and construction drawings, site documentation, right-of-way information, and utility data.
• Coordinate with external vendors on CAD production, field work, pole surveys, and other engineering activities.
• Review junior designers’ work, provide quality control and feedback, and deliver site-specific training and mentorship.
• Support resource allocation, project assignments, task prioritization, and adaptation to new design standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience producing engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience producing structural or civil engineering drawings for telecommunications site builds, upgrades, or fiber optic networks.
• Telecommunications or utility experience.
• Ability to handle complex design tasks independently and interpret building, tower, structural, and construction drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, building construction, or a related technical field is preferred.
