AI Innovation Specialist

Location: Remote within the United States; travel to Harris business units and partner sites required up to 25% of the time, with frequency varying monthly according to project and business needs.

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Build AI-powered prototypes that address business-unit problems and move rapidly from concepts to working demonstrations.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to ship software faster and demonstrate practical possibilities to engineering and product teams.
• Partner with business-unit leaders to identify high-value AI opportunities and turn them into concrete projects.
• Lead and co-facilitate workshops and working sessions that improve AI fluency across the organization.
• Document findings, share effective approaches, and help teams establish repeatable AI practices.
• Contribute to Harris's AI maturity framework and related tooling.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a technical, product, or innovation-adjacent role.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience building with AI tools, including Claude, GPT, Cursor, or similar tools, with demonstrated shipped work.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity, strong follow-through, and the ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States and travel to business units and partner sites up to 25% of the time.
