Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in the DMV area (Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia); office attendance is required Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Salary: $130,000–$175,000 annually in the United States

What you will do

• Design, build, and iterate on software solutions ranging from prototypes to production systems.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, product partners, and engineers to explore technical approaches.
• Work across technologies, programming languages, and frameworks based on project needs.
• Evaluate and apply AI, machine learning, and generative AI where they create real value.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and help establish engineering practices.
• Support architectural decisions, provide technical guidance, and contribute to experimentation and discovery.

Requirements

• Strong general software engineering experience across different technology stacks.
• Experience designing and building modern applications, services, or platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and modern development workflows.
• Experience developing or integrating generative AI applications.
• Strong collaboration, communication, security, privacy, and accessibility skills, including work with sensitive or regulated data.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. Certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation or security clearance.
