What you will do

• Integrate read channel electronics and mixed-signal ASIC technology into magnetic recording systems.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate system behavior and performance.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues during product design, integration, and production.
• Develop read channel optimization and error-recovery procedures.
• Implement new read channel features and contribute to product improvements focused on capacity, quality, and time to market.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on system requirements, interfaces, and design considerations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and waveform generators.
• Exposure to experimental design, data analysis, technical troubleshooting, or system integration.
• Collaborative, analytical, proactive, and effective when working across multiple engineering disciplines.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of magnetic recording subsystems, including heads, media, read channel technology, and preamplifiers.
• Programming experience in C, MATLAB, or Python.
• Experience with mixed-signal systems, ASIC integration, signal processing, or embedded systems.
