Location: Remote in Canada; candidates must be based in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, or Nova Scotia, or be willing to relocate. Travel may be required to meet partners, attend conferences, and periodically visit offices in Toronto and New York City.
Salary: CAD 95,000–115,000 per year

What you will do
- Originate investment opportunities across catalytic and thematic portfolios and conduct market research.
- Support financial, strategic, and impact due diligence, investment analysis, financial modeling, benchmarking, and portfolio monitoring.
- Prepare screening materials, investment memoranda, dashboards, forecasts, reporting, and risk assessments.
- Improve end-to-end investment processes, including pipeline management, diligence frameworks, valuation, monitoring, and reporting systems.
- Manage project management and CRM systems and support investment reviews and performance analyses.
- Advance knowledge sharing and collaboration across WES departments, investee partners, leadership, and the Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of related experience, or 1 year of work experience, in impact investing or an adjacent investment field.
- Strong analytical, data management, financial statement, portfolio analysis, and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Salesforce or another CRM, Tableau, and Google Apps.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, stakeholder relationship, and collaboration skills.
- Must be based in Canada in an eligible province or be willing to relocate to Canada.
Nice to have
- MBA or master’s degree in a related field.
- Lived experience in immigrant, refugee, or communities of color and familiarity with the issues addressed by the Investment team.
