Head of Internal Audit Innovation Strategy (AI)

What you will do

• Define and execute a multi-year digital strategy for Internal Audit covering Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, machine learning, and robotic process automation.
• Identify, prioritize, and manage innovation use cases across audit planning, risk assessment, field testing, continuous monitoring, and reporting.
• Oversee scalable analytics products, dashboards, automated risk monitoring tools, data pipelines, and integrations across legacy architectures.
• Embed risk analytics and continuous auditing techniques into business, technology, and capital markets audit plans.
• Establish methodologies and control frameworks for auditing AI systems, algorithms, data governance, bias, drift, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead enablement programs, stakeholder communications, regulatory engagement, and a global team of analytics and innovation specialists.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of progressive leadership experience in Internal Audit, Technology Audit, Risk Analytics, or Technology Consulting, ideally in financial services or investment banking.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
• Hands-on experience or strategic oversight of Generative AI, LLM prompting or fine-tuning, Agentic workflows, and machine learning or predictive modeling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python or R, Tableau or Power BI, and data preparation tools such as Alteryx and Snowflake.
• Deep understanding of internal audit methodologies, COSO, risk assessment, and financial-services regulatory expectations.
• Proven experience leading matrixed digital transformation projects, managing data teams, and presenting to senior executive committees.
