HR Business Partner, Corporate - HR/Legal (Remote) (Retail)

Location: Remote role supporting all US locations; regular in-person attendance at designated department meetings is required. Office location: Calabasas, California.

Salary: $110,800–$166,100 per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with department leaders and employees to align HR support with business goals, improve relationships, strengthen morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, career development, disciplinary actions, HR policies, benefits, and employment processes.
• Conduct objective employee relations investigations, maintain investigation documentation, and partner with the Senior Human Resources Manager on employment actions.
• Advise on legal and regulatory requirements, reduce employment-related risks, and collaborate with the legal department when needed.
• Coordinate staffing priorities, training needs, executive coaching, performance reviews, promotions, onboarding, new-hire orientation, and exit interviews.
• Participate in HR committees and projects while maintaining regular contact with assigned departments and leadership teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of HR Business Partner or HR Generalist experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of business concepts and employee-related legal requirements.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
• Ability to support all US locations and attend designated meetings in person; the role includes approximately 10% travel.
