HR Business Partner (AI Robotics)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for people managers and team leads.
• Support organizational change, role definition, workforce planning, headcount tracking, and succession risk identification.
• Partner with managers throughout OKR, performance evaluation, reward, promotion, and performance improvement cycles.
• Prepare talent review materials, support succession planning, and deliver manager training on performance, reward, and change management.
• Analyze turnover, attrition, engagement, and workforce composition data and turn findings into practical recommendations.
• Handle employee relations cases, retention initiatives, exit interviews, onboarding, engagement follow-up, and internal communications.

Requirements

• Business-level Japanese and English proficiency, including written communication, is required.
• Approximately 3–5 years of HR experience, including at least one year supporting people managers.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to present HR findings clearly and accurately.
• Ability to build stakeholder trust, handle sensitive conversations, and exercise sound judgment with confidential information.
• Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to accuracy and detail.
