Regional Customs Compliance Specialist

Location: Golden Valley, Minnesota, United States of America. The role is based at hirify.global's corporate headquarters and includes domestic and international travel of up to approximately 15%.

Annual base pay: $71,000–$131,800, plus potential annual incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Support Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification governance, research classification questions, and maintain supporting determinations and records.
• Support country-of-origin determinations, free trade agreement qualification, supplier declarations, certificates of origin, and origin marking requirements.
• Track routine customs issues and support accurate calculation, reporting, and payment of duties, fees, and trade remedy tariffs such as Sections 301 and 232.
• Assist with duty recovery activities, including drawback and post-summary corrections.
• Perform quarterly import/export audits, agree corrective actions with stakeholders, and track findings through closure.
• Provide customs guidance, update standard operating procedures and training materials, and support ERP/SAP and trade compliance software.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant customs or trade compliance experience, ideally supporting U.S. import and export operations.
• Working knowledge of customs regimes, HTS classification, country of origin, customs valuation, free trade agreement qualification, and import/export documentation.
• Familiarity with U.S. trade remedy tariffs and basic awareness of export controls and economic sanctions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Ability to travel domestically and internationally when needed.

• Experience with ERP/SAP and customs classification software such as Descartes CustomsInfo.
