Trade Compliance Specialist

What you will do

• Oversee at least one Trade Compliance area, such as import compliance, export compliance, special programs, or supply chain security.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in at least two Trade Compliance areas and advise logistics, distribution, finance, legal, and other departments.
• Coordinate with external customs brokers and ensure import, export, and product classification compliance.
• Manage audits, regulatory research, record keeping, compliance KPIs, and key control indicators.
• Create and analyze reports from ACE, CARM, and other sources.
• Lead process standardization, compliance improvements, and savings initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Trade Compliance, working directly with Customs and participating in compliance programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in international business, finance, or supply chain management.
• Working knowledge of classification, import and export compliance, and Trade Compliance regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete assignments accurately and on time with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Footwear and apparel industry or importer experience.
• SAP Finance experience.
• Customs Broker License or equivalent experience.
